“ Favorite restaurant in the neighborhood and probably Chicago?! So lucky to have this spot so close to our apartment. The food is super healthy, delicious, fast, and vegan-friendly. You have to try the plant-based keftedes and greek fries! ALSO, if you're a coffee drinker, don't skip the frappes. The metrios is our favorite, out of this world!!! Secretly our favorite spot for coffee. Beyond the menu, the staff is all really friendly and welcoming and the ambiance is beautiful, full of light, and well-decorated. ”

“ New favorite “fast-food”! So fresh and delicious. I highly suggest anything with the chicken skewers. Normally in the city I don't even try with meat, as I'm fearful of the quality, but Kala seems to have very quality stuff. The gyro is delicious, as well as the rice bowls & the Greek salad. Totally get the Greek fries if you're a feta fan (so so wonderful). I'm really excited to try more things here. ”
“ I came for lunch with my family yesterday, and we were blown away with the service, the food, and the atmosphere as a whole. There wasn’t a large enough table available for the six of us, so the staff kept an eye out for us and seated us as quickly as they could (going out of their way to move tables together). We ordered a range of food from the souvlaki, skewers, and burgers, and the meal quickly became the highlight of our weekend in Chicago. Everything was fresh and flavourful. The staff even brought us loukoumades as a free dessert for the wait. Everything was above and beyond, and the whole team working yesterday afternoon deserves a huge shout out. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll be back every time we’re in the city! ”
“ We walked into Kala on a whim looking for lunch. Turns out there is quite literally nothing wrong with Kala. Greek fries, veggie sandwich, pork sandwich, and Greek yogurt ice cream with donuts were all incredible. Service was friendly, cute little atmosphere, super nice and clean restroom. I wish we lived closer because I would keep coming back! ”
“ We randomly popped in here on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch while we were in the neighborhood and I’m so glad we did! Food options all looked amazing (need to go back to try other things on the menu!!) and everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful and delicious. I ordered a chicken skewer, side of a pita & a Greek salad to share with my young daughter and we ate every last bite. So so good. Definitely recommend! ”
“ Amazinggg flavors. Easy to order, seat yourself and either order at the front or from a QR code at your table. I love the QR code because I get to pick how fast my order gets submitted. The food was great portions and adorable, their Greek Fire Sauce is literally fire. Very friendly staff, street parking can be horrible but there’s a lot of parking. You can dine inside or out in the patio ”
“ I ordered the platter with beef and chicken. I liked the chicken. The beef was a bit too fatty for my preference. This place is very popular and I managed to get a solo counter seat by the window. Next time I will try one of their bowls which looked appeasing. ”
